SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION
As a mechanic you will perform maintenance work, truck repairs in accordance with factory and industry standards. The qualified candidate will run diagnostics on vehicles, communicate and work closely with team members to meet company goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES - General inspection of vehicles, trailers, equipment, Run and analysis diagnostic testing, minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspections, tire rotations and oil changes.
- Knowledge and understanding of ABS systems, suspension, steering, leaks, wheel alignment and balancing, electrical systems.
- Inspect and replace bearings, lights, breaks, coolant.
- Maintain parts inventory, requesting purchase orders for ordering of parts and necessary items,
- Collaborate with team in diagnosing problems with vehicles and plan repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles.
- Coordinating with external repair shops
- Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Must be able to have weekend rotations.
- Must have mechanical tools
EDUCATION REQUIRMENTS - Minimum of 2 years of experience preferably in diesel mechanic.
- Must have a valid Class B driver's license, Class A is a plus.
- TWIC card preferred.
- ASE Diesel Certification is preferred.
PHYSICAL/ MENTAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing at times. The employee must frequently lift or move items up to 50 pounds. Must be able to frequently climb stairs and ladders. May occasionally deal with heights. Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, employees and managers. Effective conflict resolution abilities. Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form. Ability to read, write and do mathematics. Ability to wear Personal Equipment, including Respiratory Protection. Consist of both office setting and physical jobsite. Able to work in confined spaces when needed.
