Job Summary:

The Part-Time Campus Store Retail Specialist provides excellent customer service while assisting in the daily operations of the campus store. This includes merchandising, cashier duties, and receiving packages. The hours for this position vary. This position is governed by state and federal laws and institution policy.

Salary: $15.00 per hour.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting students, faculty, and staff with their purchases and answering inquiries about products, store promotions, and store policies.

• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to process transactions accurately and efficiently.

• Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the store is visually appealing and well-organized.

• Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels, restocking merchandise, and ensuring proper product placement.

• Help with the setup and execution of store promotions, sales events, and campus-wide marketing initiatives.

• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and safety within the store environment.

• Collaborate with store management and other staff to ensure smooth operations and meet customer satisfaction goals.

• Participate in store inventory counts and assist in loss prevention activities.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
Required Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Jenzabar software familiarity/experience.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Retail experience a plus.


Physical Requirements:

The individual must be able to sit for long periods of time. They must be able to utilize computer and office equipment. They must be able to lift 30 lbs.
