Aftermarket Planning Solutions Engineer

An aerospace employer is looking for an Aftermarket Planning Solutions Engineer to join their team remotely aligned to Eastern Standard Time. This position is open due to a new initiative for the Commercial Engines Aftermarket division as they arebuilding a new event based planning tool. The Solutions Engineer will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance on aftermarket Commercial Engine Material Solution digital initiatives and implementations. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and supporting solutions specific to the aftermarket and service part planning process. This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, functional teams, and other technical teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective solutions, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with business goals. The individual will contribute to enhancing and maintaining the company's planning solutions, focusing on areas like supply/demand planning, make-to-stock, inventory optimization, SIOP, and customer collaboration within the aftermarket context. The Solutions Engineer will be a Techno-Functional resource and must have expertise on aftermarket planning, as well as understanding of APIs and web app deployments. They should have an understanding of how React works and integrates with the backend framework and be familiar with UI frameworks. They should know python and understand how data is processed on the backend, and should be familiar with cloud services with an understanding of cloud deployments as this solution will be deployed into Azure cloud.

Skills and Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer or related role
• 5+ years of experience in Aftermarket and strong understanding of how aftermarket planning works
• Knowledge of Aftermarket planning tools such as APO, IBP, Kinaxis, or Servigistics
• Experience with React and Python
• Understanding of cloud services and deployments, preferably in Azure
• Bachelor's Degree
