Job Summary:

Provide all aspects of administrative assistance to the Dean of Career and Technical Education as well as to the faculty of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Division. This position is governed by state and federal laws and institution policy.

Salary: Annual salary of $25,773. Plus, excellent benefit package.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Administratively support the office of the Dean of Career and Technical Education
• Maintain accurate student and school records
• Support the needs of CTE Division faculty and staff
• Order divisional supplies as needed
• Navigate SouthArk databases
• Prepare divisional correspondence and reports
• Assemble Department of Career Education reports
• Communicate with area high school personnel as well as other SouthArk personnel.
• Other duties as assigned

• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
• Knowledge of office equipment operation
• Ability to accurately maintain (electronic and paper) files and records
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Basic Math skills
• Ability to multi-task

Required Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years recent administrative assistant experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Associate degree and a minimum of 5 years recent administrative experience.

Physical Requirements:

The position calls for the following; long periods of time sitting and working with a computer; the ability to navigate to all parts of campus; the ability to lift 25 pounds.
