About the Role:

As a Dietary-Cook, you will be responsible for cooking and preparing meals for our residents, as well as ensuring that food is prepared safely, efficiently, and according to our nutritional guidelines. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to work well under pressure will enable you to provide excellent service to our residents.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals for residents, ensuring that dishes are hot, appetizing, and safe for consumption
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to safety and sanitation standards
• Manage food inventory and ordering to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste
• Collaborate with our dietary team to plan and prepare special events and menus
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the resident experience

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience in food preparation and service, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Valid food handling certification and willingness to obtain additional certifications as needed
