Cafeteria Worker Job Description

Reports to: Cafeteria Manager

Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt

Contract: 183 Days

Hours: TBD

Salary: $13.85/hr - $17.00/hr

Primary Purpose:

• Prepare meals for the students of El Dorado School District
• Follow directions precisely by following recipes and task sheets with instructions given by the Kitchen Manager and Child Nutrition Director
• Work with other employees with cooperation and a good attitude
• Provide a positive experience for our students who are our customers
• Be open to learning new tasks and embracing new ideas
• Be flexible in an ever changing work environment
• Follow all health and safety procedures consistently

• Customer service

• Verbal communication

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Lift and carry for short distances up to 50 lbs in a kitchen setting
• Reach and lower items in a kitchen setting
• Stoop, kneel, bend
• Must be able to safely, physically operate the kitchen equipment.
